MRT new Purple Line officially opened

Finally, the MRT Chalong Ratchadham or MRT Purple Line is officially opened for service and started the operation on August 6, 2016. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the Grand Opening of MRT Chalong Ratchadham (MRT Purple Line: Tao Poon-Klong Bang Phai) at Tao Poon station in Bangkok.

(รถไฟฟ้าขนส่งมวลชนแห่งประเทศไทย) ก็เปิดให้บริการ รถไฟฟ้าสายฉลองรัชธรรม (รถไฟฟ้าสายสีม่วง เตาปูน-คลองบางไผ่) อย่างเป็นทางการแล้วเมื่อวันที่ 6 สิงหาคม 2559 ที่ผ่านมา โดยได้รับพระมหากรุณาธิคุณจากสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี เสด็จพระราชดำเนินทรงเปิดการเดินรถไฟฟ้า ณ สถานีรถไฟฟ้าเตาปูน กรุงเทพฯ

The MRT Purple line starts from Bang Sue by connecting to the MRT Blue Line at Bang Sue station. Currently, there is a free shuttle between these 2 stations. You have 2 choices which were 1) Take the air-conditioned shuttle bus on route “Bang Sue station-Tao Poon-Bang Sue station” operates daily from 06.00 to midnight and 2) Take a train on route “Bang Son station-Bang Sue-Bang Son station” operates on Monday to Saturday in the morning from 06.30 to 09.30 and in the evening from 16.30-20.30. You can see the timetable below.

Today, we choose the air-conditioned shuttle bus. Our trip starts from Bang Sue station. We get off at Exit 2 at Bang Sue station and cross the street to the free shuttle bus.

Then, you will find the free shuttle bus service opposite the Bang-sue station.

It takes about 5 minutes from Bang-sue station to Tao-poon station.

The MRT Purple Line composes of 16 stations as follows;

Tao Poon – Bang Son – Wong Sawang – Yaek Tiwanon – Ministry of Public Health – Nonthaburi Civic Center – Bang Kraso – Yaek Nonthaburi 1 – Phra Nangklao Bridge – Sai Ma – Bang Rak Noi: Tha It – Bang Rak Yai – Bang Phlu – Sam Yaek Bang Yai – Talat Bang Yai – Khlong Bang Phai

รถไฟฟ้าสายสีม่วงนั้น มีทั้งหมด 16 สถานี ดังนี้

Last but not least, we give you the view and atmosphere of each station. In the future, we can expect many condominium projects along the route of MRT Purple Line and the land price will certainly increase, no doubt about it.
